Why Choose a Kauai Vacation
Why choose a Kauai vacation? Because Kauai has that little bit of everything with a whole lot more.
What do you want from a vacation? Limitless sunshine, miles and miles of golden beaches being gently lapped by a sapphire ocean, lush green gardens, friendly locals who find nothing too much trouble to make your vacation one in a million? Well, to be honest, there are plenty of places like that in the world, but for those who really do yearn for all of the usual vacation requisites plus that little bit of extra something, Kauai is definitely the place to head for.
Heading to the islands might be something you’ve already done in the past, or perhaps you want to try something new for a special anniversary or celebration. No matter your reason, Kauai vacation rentals can help you live the good life, far away from the hubbub of the tourists. Though large hotels certainly have their charm, you can actually relax and get a good night’s sleep when you have your own rental space. You can even cook some meals in the kitchen area or just lounge on your own private beach – not too shabby for a vacation, is it? You deserve it.
All about Kauai
The oldest of the Hawaiian Islands, the tropical paradise of Kauai rises from the sapphire blue waters of the wonderful Pacific Ocean covering 550 miles. Merely a 25 minute plane journey from Honolulu, you could be forgiven for thinking that you’ve landed in some remote tropical paradise, which actually, you have. An island of contrasts, this locally known "Garden Isle" has everything you could possibly wish for to make your vacation truly a time to remember, and if parts of it look a little familiar it’s probably because many Hollywood producers have gotten there first, but it’s almost certain that the makers of Jurassic Park remembered to take their dinosaurs home with them so not to worry. If you’re looking for a place of contrasts yet with unrivaled picture postcard beauty, then you may as well start packing your bags now.

History of Kauai
The most northerly of all the Hawaiian Islands, the first settlers actually landed on these sun kissed shores, which as far as many natives are concerned makes Kauai the "original" and the foundation on which the Hawaiian nation we know today was built. Kauai is the thought by many to be the cradle of the Hawaiian civilization, it’s where Captain James Cook landed on his voyage of discovery and brought the people and country of Hawaii to the attention of Europe and the rest of the world.
Kauai is, to this day, rich in songs and folklores about the Menehune, believed to be the very first settlers of Kauai.
Kauai has culture, it has history, and it is a little bit of all Hawaii all rolled into one. If you’re looking for a vacation destination that ticks all the boxes, then Kauai is definitely for you. You’ll be guaranteed a warm welcome when you first meet these wonderful people and begin to explore their fascinating island of Kauai.
