Kauai Tours

There are so many Kauai tours to choose from, you won’t know which one to take first.

The tropical island paradise of Kauai really does have something for everybody, with many different tours showing off the very best of Kauai, the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands. Some of these tours are definitely for the more adventurous types, but if you prefer to let somebody else "take the strain" on your vacation, don’t worry, there’ll still be plenty for you to do.

Popular Kauai Tours

Tubing Tours – for any water babies or those who just fancy "messing about on the river" then a tubing tour is definitely not to be missed. You’ll leisurely cruise down tropical waterways of ditches, tunnels and flumes dating all the way back to 1870. Sitting in your very own tube (like a big rubber ring) you’ll be supplied with a headlamp (hey, it’s dark in this tunnel) and begin to float your way past an old sugar plantation on this mountain tubing adventure, finishing with a swim in a natural swimming hole and, of course, a delicious picnic lunch (no tour is ever complete without one). What a way to spend a morning, just floating! Be warned, these are so popular it’s advisable to book early before you go.

ATV Tours – all terrain vehicles for those not in the know, quads, four wheel motorbikes, get the picture? It might sound a little adventurous (and it is) but this is suitable for all ages, the young and the young at heart. There are different tours available taking in fantastic scenery which you simply couldn’t get to on foot, and of course, the wonderful picnic lunch.

Bicycle Tours – do you get the feeling that you’re going to lose weight on this vacation, it seems to be a very lively sort of place don’t you agree, but the delicious food will put paid to that notion. The bicycle tours in Kauai are suitable for all age groups and cycling really is a terrific way to not only see the island but also get a real feel about the real Kauai.

Movie Tours – so many famous movies have been made on this exotic island paradise that you really owe it to yourself to book on a movie tour and re-enact some of your favorite scenes. A little less energetic than some of the aforementioned excursions, you can embark on your movie tour on an air conditioned mini-bus if that’s more your style, while you peruse the locations used in such classics as Gilligan’s Island, Outbreak, Donovan’s Reef, South Pacific, Raiders of the Lost Ark and of course, Jurassic Park. Lights, camera, action – did you see something moving behind those trees? We’re going to need a bigger bus!

Boat Tours – there are lots of different boat tours to choose from in Kauai, you can explore the magic of the Napali Coast, set sail on a catamaran cruise, go snorkeling, even whale watching. There’s just so much to see around the wonderful coastline on Kauai. Did you say whale watching? Yep, humpback whales are visible in the waters around Kauai from around late December until March, so what are you waiting for? Get out there and watch out for blow holes!
